THE SCIENCE BEHIND AI SHIELD^TM

Conventional disinfectants and antimicrobials destroy bacteria by attacking them with harmful chemicals and are designed to function and evaporate rapidly to avoid harm to humans and animals. However, as soon as they evaporate, so do their antimicrobial capabilities.

Unlike other antimicrobials, AI Shield^TMis non-corrosive, non-hazardous, odor-free, environmental friendly and can remain antimicrobial active for months.

Upon application, the active antimicrobial agent in AI Shield^TMbinds chemically and molecularly to the surface on which it is applied, essentially becoming an essential and virtually lasting part of that surface.

As the coating soaks, millions of “spike-like” microscopic antimicrobial appliances form and extend out from the surface. In fact, these “spikes” are long chains of positively charged atoms that represent a mortal dual threat to microbes.

When cured, the antimicrobial coating creates an invisible shield that inhibits microorganism growth and helps prevent the bacteria from developing and spreading. Because harmful microorganisms’ cell walls are negatively charged, they are electrostatically drawn towards and pulled onto the positively charged spikes and destroyed, as the microbes are both impale and electro-statically “shocked.”

Multiple stage treatment

Step 1: Measurement of complete area to be treated.

This includes floor, wall, furniture all high touch points including washrooms. Complete measurement will be confirmed prior to treatment.

Pre inspection of site to make it ready for treatment.

Step 2: Deep Disinfection and removal of Biofilms that may be harbouring micro-organisms, with highly effective hospital grade disinfectant.

Complete disinfection of all surfaces.

Finally application of AI Shield^TMis done by electrostatic sprayer gun which make the droplet electrically stronger, causing it to envelop the targeted area giving complete coverage without the need to wipe down.

Moping may be required for the surface where Spray is not recommended or to remove excess material after spray, if required.
